D.O. La Mancha

Castilla La Mancha has a long history of winemaking dating back in time to the XII century. Within the last 15 years this region has struggled very hard to overcome its reputation for poor, low quality wines, and with this effort they have succeeded. The region is now full of young winemakers making world recognized wines that offer the consumer excellent quality and very memerable wines.

D.O. La Mancha is the most extensive D.O. of the world with 178000 hectares planted, and welcomes more than 300 wine cellars. In the denominacion of origen La Mancha, a control committee works hard along side the winemakers to reinforce the quality of wines coming from the La Mancha region. The consumer can now rest assured that a wine marked with D.O. La Mancha has a quality seal from the regional officials and as with our Flor del Montgó Verdejo is a wine that is to be enjoyed.
