Old Vines Bobal Rosé

The vineyards are more than 40 years old and are mainly planted at high altitudes, 60-80 kilometers inland from the city of Valencia. The altitude and distance from the coast results in a cooler, less humid climate. The soils vary from dark brown miocene to chalky limy soils and are generally loose soils with good drainage. The old vines are head-trained bush vines without any trellis.

The vineyards are carefully selected by winemaker David Tofterup. He searches throughout the year tracking the progress of the new vintage, sampling the grapes and making his final selection based on the quality and characteristics he is looking to show in the wine.
